The TTV Weekly Wrap Up
If there was a theme this week, it was control of the process.
From Maryland's ballot litigation and the court fights over federal election directives, to Arizona's battle over election authority and the renewed push on the SAVE Act, it kept coming back to one question: who writes the rules and who holds the rule-writers accountable?
Courts, legislatures, and election offices are all making calls that stick, with more people watching than usual. Good. Because officials don't get to tell us elections are clean. They have to let us see it.
We can't do this without you — and we wouldn't want to.
Thank you for your support!
In Case You Missed It...
MD: The Ballot Saga Continues
Kate Sullivan from Secure the Vote MD joined us to discuss how Maryland's ballot controversy that led to an emergency TRO was initially granted before the court declined to extend relief the very next day. Plaintiffs allege six violations of MD election law tied to the state's ballot replacement process, keeping questions about transparency, ballot handling, and public confidence squarely in the spotlight.
A federal court struck down key portions of President Trump's election executive order, finding the administration lacked authority to impose certain nationwide voting changes without congressional approval. The ruling reinforces the continuing debate over where federal authority ends and state authority begins while simultaneously ignoring the majority of voters' wishes.
The Postal Service confirmed plans tied to the administration's proposal to condition mail-ballot delivery on state voter data sharing, but a federal judge has now blocked enforcement of major portions of Executive Order 14399.
The SAVE Act has returned to Congress, renewing debate over proof of citizenship for voter registration. While Americans continue to disagree on many election issues, voter ID, accurate voter rolls, and citizen-only voting remain areas where many find common ground. The challenge is turning that agreement into policy.
Georgia lawmakers narrowed a proposed bill that would require hand recounts in the state's top two races. Instead of applying broadly, the amended bill would trigger a hand recount only in exceptionally close contests. The change reflects an ongoing debate over balancing election transparency with the time and resources required to conduct manual recounts.
Maricopa County approved its 2026 election plan despite an ongoing dispute with County Recorder Justin Heap over election responsibilities, underscoring the disagreement over who controls election administration and how those responsibilities are divided. Meanwhile, a Democrat sued to keep Arizona’s Secure Elections Act OFF the November ballot.
A call to action: if you or someone you know can obtain the Kentucky voter rolls, please reach out to us.

Grounded in Truth
A weekly word from the TTV team. Want one every day? Join us in TTV Now.
Father, Thank You for reminding us throughout Your Word that You have always used ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes. When You call on us to advance Your Kingdom, help us to be people who are willing to say "yes" to whatever You ask of us.
When You call us to step forward, give us courage. When You call us to wait, give us patience. When You call us to speak, give us wisdom. And when You call us to trust You with an uncertain outcome, give us faith.
Guard us from becoming distracted by fear or doubt. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You instead of the noise surrounding us. And give us the confidence to pursue the assignments You have entrusted to us.
Lead us, strengthen us, and help us boldly reflect Your love, Your truth, and Your light everywhere we go.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
