Picture your church on a Sunday morning or busy lines at Costco. Now count every tenth person in the pews or lines.
In 1860, that's who went. Farmers, clerks, blacksmiths, sons. About 3 million Americans out of 31 million served in the Civil War.
Roughly one in ten.
Not everyone stood on the battlefield or carried the same burden. Even with the draft, just enough people answered when history demanded something of them. The Union endured. Slavery was abolished. We took our country back from the adversaries' chokehold and overcame against all odds.
Today, our battlefield looks different.
On one front we have our brave military ready to defend against a seen and known enemy.
On the other hand, we have the battle for the soul of our nation: our elections.
The "thousand front war".
You don't need a uniform for this type of work, and honestly — thank God. Because today, in this specific type of fight, we wouldn't be able to tell who of those wearing our same uniform is the enemy. It's a sobering thought, but it has become more clear than ever before that we are fighting the common enemy that has slithered under the radar for decades — right here in our lands that our ancestors fought for.
We stopped waiting for Washington and those in power at the state level to make decisions that would protect our communities. And a silent army began spending decades — quietly at first — uncovering, researching, documenting, and building.
We know what’s wrong, but the question now isn’t "what is wrong?", it’s "what are we going to do about it?"

It just looks different in 2026.
You learn, watch, research, document, show up, pray, tell the truth, help your neighbor understand the process, and faithfully occupy the ground God has placed in front of you. You do all of this so you are equipped for battle.
Some of you will check records.
Some will track legislation.
Some will become deputy registrars.
Some will research public records.
Some will work elections.
Some will organize your communities.
And some will pray for every one of them.
We don't all have the same post. But we all have a post.
In 1860, it took one in ten.
Today, it takes you. It takes all of us.
It's time to take your post.
