True the Vote Weekly Update | 4.24.21

April 24, 2021

Dear ,

This has been another wild week ... and another week of wilding.

  • "Nobel-prize nominee" Stacey Abrams made media headlines with the bizarre claim that voter ID leads to police violence.

  • We filed a new round of responses in our lawsuit against Abrams' group Fair Fight (Fair Fight sued us claiming voter suppression over elector challenges in Georgia, we then countersued Fair Fight on behalf of Georgia voters who endured Abrams-led harassment for asserting their right to participate in elector challenges).

  • The Maricopa County AZ election audit started, stopped, and started again (check out our live stream of the audit).

  • Hundreds of CEOs and celebrities doubled-down on doublethink with new election propaganda (lying that the need for election integrity is based on a lie).

  • We continued development of new tools and training to empower voters and partner organizations - yay Team True the Vote!

  • I spent several days talking with and preparing materials for law enforcement to further ongoing investigations based on information we've uncovered (not yet made public because it would undermine active efforts).

  • And, as has been the case for months now, we painfully watched as others make election claims that we cannot, we will not, support, knowing that it will all play out in due course.

Yes, American election-drama has become a bizarre reality show.

Which brings me to the point of my message...it's time to unplug. Maybe you already have, and if so, I'm glad to hear it. But if you haven't, as a friend I'm telling you, unplug lest you burn out.

Don't get burned out. There is too much work to be done in the days ahead.

We face very real problems in our elections. Vote trafficking is organized and happening nationwide. Foreign countries have been given unfettered access to confidential election information and control operations in ways we can prove and will soon reveal. And the common denominator of the corruption, at the core of every grift, are voter rolls riddled with bad records. That's what we're working on now, all of it and more. Through the noise of frivolous lawsuits, hyperbolic claims, and political pettiness ... there are real, provable crimes that will be exposed. A trickle of indictments have started (in Arizona) but it takes time - and will continue to take time, longer than we would like, but necessary to get all the facts straight.

What you can do right now is help support election integrity legislation in your state. Check out info below on how to engage. In the next few months there will be new projects we'd like to work with you on. And I give you my word, we will reveal corruption the likes of which you've never seen. Right now is not the time for headlines, but that time is coming and when it does we will publish it here first.

There will be more wild weeks ahead. Keep your bearings. We're all in this together. And working together, we the people, only we the people, can true the vote.

We can.

Ever onward -

PS. You are stronger than you know. You are here for such a time. Keep the faith.

For The Record

From True the Vote's Courtney Kramer

Despite the continuous corporate caterwauling about new election laws many CEOs clearly have not read, solid election bills continue to be drafted and passed coast to coast. 2020 battleground states have shown that they will not step down as we continue to see somewhat sweeping election reform. Though corporate CEOs have decided to add “politics” to their job description, every week new legislation continues to surface.

Let’s take a look at Arizona. Arizona passed two bills in the last two months that will hopefully rid the state of the misfortunes that occurred in November. Following Gov. Ducey signing into law a bill that will remove the ability of private money to influence elections, the Maricopa County audit is now underway.

Relatedly, Arizona GOP state Sen. Kelly Townsend recently voted “no” on Senate Bill 1485 that would stop voters from automatically being mailed absentee ballots explaining that she wants to first see the results of the audit, which includes a hand recount of 2.1 million ballots. This surprising vote does make the fate of the election bill uncertain as there is another barrier in the way of this legislation. Not shockingly, Arizona Dems filed suit against the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Thursday to stop the audit alleging that the audit is led by “partisan contractors hired by the Republican-controlled Senate” and cited concerns about transparency. Keep in mind that the audit will be live-streamed until it is concluded.

A hearing on this matter took place Friday afternoon to determine the outcome of the TRO and preliminary injunction. The audit was temporarily halted after Maricopa Superior Court Judge Christopher Coury ruled that the audit must stop until Monday at noon in order to inspect procedures in place and determine if auditors are operating legally. Ironically enough, Arizona Democrats did not want to pay the $1 million bond to cover the costs of any potential wrongful delays and now the audit is back on.

Though the very concerns the democrats raised here is on par with the same level of concern raised in November 2020 across the country, it is encouraging to finally see people on all sides of the political sphere taking a stance on protecting the integrity of our election processes and recognizing that transparency is of the utmost importance.

The GA Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger has thrown similar roadblocks into Fulton County’s ballot inspection. Raffensperger does not want the physical ballots being audited but only wants the digital images of the ballots to be inspected. In the interest of justice, one would think that both of these audits would be in everyone’s best interest and that total transparency and integrity in this process should be standard.

Despite these current legal battles still tied up in the courts, one thing is clear. These voting laws are accomplishing a universal purpose–making it harder to cheat and easier to vote. These bills are far from racist, and they are not discriminatory. For the record, if you consider protecting the integrity of each legal vote “discriminatory” then it might be time for a history lesson on discrimination. We applaud state legislatures across the country in their election reform efforts and encourage more to follow."

Legislative Updates

We're excited to be working with so many groups who are ready and willing to help support Election Integrity efforts, specifically those that are playing out right now in states across the country. Case in point - AMAC Action!Since Monday, AMAC Action has been engaging their advocates in Texas in support of House Bill 6, the Election Integrity Protection Act of 2021. So far, over 500 emails have been sent to members of the Texas House by AMAC members to encourage support for the bill. These efforts even helped in gaining a new co-sponsor for H.B. 6! AMAC Action continues to push this great initiative.  If you're a Texas resident, check out AMAC Action and join with hundreds of thousands of Texans who are speaking out in defense of fair and accurate elections in Texas! Do it today! Time is of the essence!
